WOW! WOW! WOW!

One attendee will walk away with a staggering publishing deal
at the 2018 AuthorYOU Extravaganza!
Will it be YOU?

Thomson-Shore, Inc. is sponsoring this exciting event by providing a publishing deal to the winning contestant. There will be only one “book deal” delivered to the winner “pitcher.” The pitch fest is purely about YOU, the author impressing the judging panel. Your presence, your confidence, your clarity … and of course what your book is about and who it is for. You will have from THREE to FIVE MINUTES to deliver your pitch to our stellar judging panel. Don’t expect questions from the panel. You are “on” … they will be listening … and decide WHO the BIG WINNER is within 15 minutes of the final pitcher.

All Genres are welcome.

Minimum requirements for eligibility:

  • Contestant must be 18+ years old.
  • Must be a wholly original work for which the contestant is the legal copyright owner.
  • Manuscript must be finished and available for work to begin within 12 months of the contest.

Terms & Conditions

Thomson-Shore will provide the winner of the PitchFest with a “publishing deal” that will include editing, design, metadata registration, and production and distribution costs.

  • Upon completion of the manuscript, Thomson-Shore will perform an editorial evaluation to determine the proposed value of the project based on the services deemed necessary for publication. That proposed value will serve as the author’s “advance.”
  • Once the “advance” (which is the total value of the moneys dedicated to editing, design and printing) is earned back through trade distribution sales, the author will receive royalties for trade sales.
